iGniTe your Georgia Tech experience by applying to one of our First Year Summer Launch Programs! All first year summer students enter Georgia Tech for the late summer term and will participate in one of the Georgia Tech Summer Launch Programs. Students can apply to both iGniTe Summer Launch Programs: iGniTe Living Learning Community and iGniTe Summer Exploration Series.‚Äč The iGniTe Living Learning Community requires students to live on campus. The Summer Exploration Series allows students to live on or off campus.

Summer Session Tuition Rates are now charged per credit hour! Beginning this summer, tuition will be charged on a per-hour basis rather than a per-course rate. In the past, Tech students were charged one of two flat rates based on whether they took six or more credit hours, or fewer than six credit hours. Tuition models for Fall and Spring semesters remain assessed at rates of above and below six credit hours. Learn More

Transient Students (Non-Degree Seeking)

You are considered a transient student if you enroll at Georgia Tech to take advanced coursework that will transfer back to your home institution, so that you may complete your coursework there.

The summer class schedule will be released on March 8, 2018 on the registrar's website. In the meantime, please consider reviewing the summer 2017 schedule for an idea of what might be offered in Summer 2018.

Available Classes

A variety of courses are available to students who wish to continue their studies on campus during the summer term.

Study Online

Online courses are semester-based and operate much like courses taught on campus. The online format is perfect for students who are working or unable to be on campus during the summer.
